About Kathryn
My work is grounded in presence, attunement, and a deep respect for the body’s capacity to adapt and reorganize over time.
I come to this work with a background in veterinary medicine and massage therapy, alongside ongoing training in somatic and integration-based approaches. I also hold a particular interest in supporting those working in veterinary and animal care fields, where the demands of the work can be both physically and emotionally complex.
Across these fields, a consistent thread has been careful observation, pattern recognition, and an interest in how systems respond under stress and change.
Much of my work focuses on creating the conditions for the body to respond and reorganize, rather than directing change. I’m particularly interested in how physical responses, learned patterns, and meaning-making processes interact, and how greater awareness of these connections can shift how someone experiences themselves.
How this shapes my work
My path into this work has developed through both professional training and personal experience.
Through that process, I’ve come to understand that many patterns in the body are not random—they reflect adaptation.
Rather than working only at the level of symptoms, I’m interested in how the body organizes itself over time, and how creating the right conditions can support more sustainable change.
This means working in a way that is:
collaborative rather than directive
responsive rather than prescriptive
grounded in what is happening in the moment
Working Style
I bring a steady, attentive presence and a way of listening that extends beyond words.
I pay attention to:
how your body responds to touch
shifts in tone, breath, and tension
moments where the system settles or becomes more activated
This allows the work to unfold at a pace that supports integration, rather than forcing change.
There is no expectation to “push through” discomfort or achieve a particular outcome—only space to notice, respond, and allow patterns to shift over time.
I offer a space that is grounded, respectful, and collaborative—
where you can begin to notice what your body is already communicating and develop a clearer relationship with it over time.
A Note on Scope of Practice
My work is supportive and body-based in nature.
It does not include diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions and is not a replacement for psychotherapy or medical care.
I encourage working alongside other qualified professionals as part of a broader support system.
